Add a new tailcfg.NodeCapability (NodeAttrCacheNetworkMaps) to control whether
a node with support for caching network maps will attempt to do so. Update the
capability version to reflect this change (mainly as a safety measure, as the
control plane does not currently need to know about it).
Use the presence (or absence) of the node attribute to decide whether to create
and update a netmap cache for each profile. If caching is disabled, discard the
cached data; this allows us to use the presence of a cached netmap as an
indicator it should be used (unless explicitly overridden). Add a test that
verifies the attribute is respected. Reverse the sense of the environment knob
to be true by default, with an override to disable caching at the client
regardless what the node attribute says.
Move the creation/update of the netmap cache (when enabled) until after
successfully applying the network map, to reduce the possibility that we will
cache (and thus reuse after a restart) a network map that fails to correctly
configure the client.

By polling RTM_GETSTATS via netlink. RTM_GETSTATS is a relatively
efficient and targeted (single device) polling method available since
Linux v4.7.
The tundevstats "feature" can be extended to other platforms in the
future, and it's trivial to add new rtnl_link_stats64 counters on
Linux.

When a client starts up without being able to connect to control, it
sends its discoKey to other nodes it wants to communicate with over
TSMP. This disco key will be a newer key than the one control knows
about.
If the client that can connect to control gets a full netmap, ensure
that the disco key for the node not connected to control is not
overwritten with the stale key control knows about.
This is implemented through keeping track of mapSession and use that for
the discokey injection if it is available. This ensures that we are not
constantly resetting the wireguard connection when getting the wrong
keys from control.
This is implemented as:
- If the key is received via TSMP:
- Set lastSeen for the peer to now()
- Set online for the peer to false
- When processing new keys, only accept keys where either:
- Peer is online
- lastSeen is newer than existing last seen
If mapSession is not available, as in we are not yet connected to
control, punt down the disco key injection to magicsock.
Ideally, we will want to have mapSession be long lived at some point in
the near future so we only need to inject keys in one location and then
also use that for testing and loading the cache, but that is a yak for
another PR.

OpenWrt is changing to using alpine like `apk` for package installation
over its previous opkg. Additionally, they are not using the same repo
files as alpine making installation fail.
Add support for the new repository files and ensure that the required
package detection system uses apk.

app connector packets
We introduce the Conn25PacketHooks interface to be used as a nil-able
field in userspaceEngine. The engine then plumbs through the functions
to the corresponding tstun.Wrapper intercepts.
The new intercepts run pre-filter when egressing toward WireGuard,
and post-filter when ingressing from WireGuard. This is preserve the
design invariant that the filter recognizes the traffic as interesting
app connector traffic.
This commit does not plumb through implementation of the interface, so
should be a functional no-op.

A Brief History of AUTHORS files
---
The AUTHORS file was a pattern developed at Google, originally for
Chromium, then adopted by Go and a bunch of other projects. The problem
was that Chromium originally had a copyright line only recognizing
Google as the copyright holder. Because Google (and most open source
projects) do not require copyright assignemnt for contributions, each
contributor maintains their copyright. Some large corporate contributors
then tried to add their own name to the copyright line in the LICENSE
file or in file headers. This quickly becomes unwieldy, and puts a
tremendous burden on anyone building on top of Chromium, since the
license requires that they keep all copyright lines intact.
The compromise was to create an AUTHORS file that would list all of the
copyright holders. The LICENSE file and source file headers would then
include that list by reference, listing the copyright holder as "The
Chromium Authors".
This also become cumbersome to simply keep the file up to date with a
high rate of new contributors. Plus it's not always obvious who the
copyright holder is. Sometimes it is the individual making the
contribution, but many times it may be their employer. There is no way
for the proejct maintainer to know.
Eventually, Google changed their policy to no longer recommend trying to
keep the AUTHORS file up to date proactively, and instead to only add to
it when requested: https://opensource.google/docs/releasing/authors.
They are also clear that:
> Adding contributors to the AUTHORS file is entirely within the
> project's discretion and has no implications for copyright ownership.
It was primarily added to appease a small number of large contributors
that insisted that they be recognized as copyright holders (which was
entirely their right to do). But it's not truly necessary, and not even
the most accurate way of identifying contributors and/or copyright
holders.
In practice, we've never added anyone to our AUTHORS file. It only lists
Tailscale, so it's not really serving any purpose. It also causes
confusion because Tailscalars put the "Tailscale Inc & AUTHORS" header
in other open source repos which don't actually have an AUTHORS file, so
it's ambiguous what that means.
Instead, we just acknowledge that the contributors to Tailscale (whoever
they are) are copyright holders for their individual contributions. We
also have the benefit of using the DCO (developercertificate.org) which
provides some additional certification of their right to make the
contribution.
The source file changes were purely mechanical with:

This rewrites the netlog package to support embedding node information in network flow logs.
Some bit of complexity comes in trying to pre-compute the expected size of the log message
after JSON serialization to ensure that we can respect maximum body limits in log uploading.
We also fix a bug in tstun, where we were recording the IP address after SNAT,
which was resulting in non-sensible connection flows being logged.

The connstats package was an unnecessary layer of indirection.
It was seperated out of wgengine/netlog so that net/tstun and
wgengine/magicsock wouldn't need a depenedency on the concrete
implementation of network flow logging.
Instead, we simply register a callback for counting connections.
This PR does the bare minimum work to prepare tstun and magicsock
to only care about that callback.
A future PR will delete connstats and merge it into netlog.

Due to iOS memory limitations in 2020 (see
https://tailscale.com/blog/go-linker, etc) and wireguard-go using
multiple goroutines per peer, commit 16a9cfe2f4 introduced some
convoluted pathsways through Tailscale to look at packets before
they're delivered to wireguard-go and lazily reconfigure wireguard on
the fly before delivering a packet, only telling wireguard about peers
that are active.
We eventually want to remove that code and integrate wireguard-go's
configuration with Tailscale's existing netmap tracking.
To make it easier to find that code later, this makes it modular. It
saves 12 KB (of disk) to turn it off (at the expense of lots of RAM),
but that's not really the point. The point is rather making it obvious
(via the new constants) where this code even is.

We had the debug packet capture code + Lua dissector in the CLI + the
iOS app. Now we don't, with tests to lock it in.
As a bonus, tailscale.com/net/packet and tailscale.com/net/flowtrack
no longer appear in the CLI's binary either.
A new build tag ts_omit_capture disables the packet capture code and
was added to build_dist.sh's --extra-small mode.

Since 5297bd2cff, tstun.Wrapper has required its Start
method to be called for it to function. Failure to do so just
results in weird hangs and I've wasted too much time multiple
times now debugging. Hopefully this prevents more lost time.

torvalds/linux@e269d79c7d35aa3808b1f3c1737d63dab504ddc8 broke virtio_net
TCP & UDP GRO causing GRO writes to return EINVAL. The bug was then
resolved later in
torvalds/linux@89add40066f9ed9abe5f7f886fe5789ff7e0c50e. The offending
commit was pulled into various LTS releases.

In 2f27319baf we disabled GRO due to a
data race around concurrent calls to tstun.Wrapper.Write(). This commit
refactors GRO to be thread-safe, and re-enables it on Linux.
This refactor now carries a GRO type across tstun and netstack APIs
with a lifetime that is scoped to a single tstun.Wrapper.Write() call.
In 25f0a3fc8f we used build tags to
prevent importation of gVisor's GRO package on iOS as at the time we
believed it was contributing to additional memory usage on that
platform. It wasn't, so this commit simplifies and removes those
build tags.

This commit implements TCP GRO for packets being written to gVisor on
Linux. Windows support will follow later. The wireguard-go dependency is
updated in order to make use of newly exported IP checksum functions.
gVisor is updated in order to make use of newly exported
stack.PacketBuffer GRO logic.
TCP throughput towards gVisor, i.e. TUN write direction, is dramatically
improved as a result of this commit. Benchmarks show substantial
improvement, sometimes as high as 2x. High bandwidth-delay product
paths remain receive window limited, bottlenecked by gVisor's default
TCP receive socket buffer size. This will be addressed in a follow-on
commit.
The iperf3 results below demonstrate the effect of this commit between
two Linux computers with i5-12400 CPUs. There is roughly ~13us of round
trip latency between them.
The first result is from commit 57856fc without TCP GRO.

This commit implements TCP GSO for packets being read from gVisor on
Linux. Windows support will follow later. The wireguard-go dependency is
updated in order to make use of newly exported GSO logic from its tun
package.
A new gVisor stack.LinkEndpoint implementation has been established
(linkEndpoint) that is loosely modeled after its predecessor
(channel.Endpoint). This new implementation supports GSO of monster TCP
segments up to 64K in size, whereas channel.Endpoint only supports up to
32K. linkEndpoint will also be required for GRO, which will be
implemented in a follow-on commit.
TCP throughput from gVisor, i.e. TUN read direction, is dramatically
