Andrew DunhamandAndrew Dunham bcceef3682 cmd/tailscale/cli: allow fetching keys from AWS Parameter Store
This allows fetching auth keys, OAuth client secrets, and ID tokens (for
workload identity federation) from AWS Parameter Store by passing an ARN
as the value. This is a relatively low-overhead mechanism for fetching
these values from an external secret store without needing to run a
secret service.

Usage examples:

    # Auth key
    tailscale up \
      --auth-key=arn:aws:ssm:us-east-1:123456789012:parameter/tailscale/auth-key

    # OAuth client secret
    tailscale up \
      --client-secret=arn:aws:ssm:us-east-1:123456789012:parameter/tailscale/oauth-secret \
      --advertise-tags=tag:server

    # ID token (for workload identity federation)
    tailscale up \
      --client-id=my-client \
      --id-token=arn:aws:ssm:us-east-1:123456789012:parameter/tailscale/id-token \
      --advertise-tags=tag:server

Andrew DunhamandAndrew Dunham 8d875a301c net/dns: add test for DoH upgrade of system DNS
Someone asked me if we use DNS-over-HTTPS if the system's resolver is an
IP address that supports DoH and there's no global nameserver set (i.e.
no "Override DNS servers" set). I didn't know the answer offhand, and it
took a while for me to figure it out. The answer is yes, in cases where
we take over the system's DNS configuration and read the base config, we
do upgrade any DoH-capable resolver to use DoH. Here's a test that
verifies this behaviour (and hopefully helps as documentation the next
time someone has this question).

When the underlying transport returns a network error, the RoundTrip
method returns (nil, error). The defer was attempting to access resp
without checking if it was nil first, causing a panic. Fix this by
checking for nil in the defer.

Also changes driveTransport.tr from *http.Transport to http.RoundTripper
and adds a test.

Andrew DunhamandAndrew Dunham a20cdb5c93 tstest/integration/testcontrol: de-flake TestUserMetricsRouteGauges
SetSubnetRoutes was not sending update notifications to nodes when their
approved routes changed, causing nodes to not fetch updated netmaps with
PrimaryRoutes populated. This resulted in TestUserMetricsRouteGauges
flaking because it waited for PrimaryRoutes to be set, which only happened
if the node happened to poll for other reasons.

Now send updateSelfChanged notification to affected nodes so they fetch
an updated netmap immediately.

Andrew DunhamandAndrew Dunham 16587746ed portlist, tstest: skip tests on kernels with /proc/net/tcp regression
Linux kernel versions 6.6.102-104 and 6.12.42-45 have a regression
in /proc/net/tcp that causes seek operations to fail with "illegal seek".
This breaks portlist tests on these kernels.

Add kernel version detection for Linux systems and a SkipOnKernelVersions
helper to tstest. Use it to skip affected portlist tests on the broken
kernel versions.

Thanks to philiptaron for the list of kernels with the issue and fix.

Andrew DunhamandGitHub 286c6ce27c net/dns/resolver: race UDP and TCP queries (#9544)
Instead of just falling back to making a TCP query to an upstream DNS
server when the UDP query returns a truncated query, also start a TCP
query in parallel with the UDP query after a given race timeout. This
ensures that if the upstream DNS server does not reply over UDP (or if
the response packet is blocked, or there's an error), we can still make
queries if the server replies to TCP queries.

This also adds a new package, util/race, to contain the logic required for
racing two different functions and returning the first non-error answer.

Andrew DunhamandAndrew Dunham ba48ec5e39 util/linuxfw: initial implementation of package
This package is an initial implementation of something that can read
netfilter and iptables rules from the Linux kernel without needing to
shell out to an external utility; it speaks directly to the kernel using
syscalls and parses the data returned.

Currently this is read-only since it only knows how to parse a subset of
the available data.

This happens because in wgengine.userspaceEngine, we end up blocking

that mutex until the watchdog kills the process. With the timeout, we at
least get the chance to print an error message and decide whether we
want to crash or not.
